Serve Our community

Renton UMC has a strong history of community involvement and service within Renton and the greater Renton area. Listed below are many of the groups involved in those services. If you have an interest in serving your local community, this is the place for you. COME, CONNECT and SERVE with us.

Quilters

This group of women love to quilt. They meet monthly at 10 am at the church to work on individual projects as well as group projects. So far the group has made 2 quilts for the tiny house that the men of the church built. We alternate meetings on Thursdays and Saturdays, so please call the church for the correct day of the week for that month.

Sarah Circle

Sarah Circle is a group of women who meet to share joys and concerns, offer a prayer for the mission of our group as well as those in need of prayer. Light refreshments are served as we work on our projects. We make shawls for the prayer shawl ministry, Christmas stockings for the Atlantic Street Service Center, caps and mittens for Head Start. We enjoy sharing project ideas with each other. We meet the 1st Wednesday of the month, at 9:30 am at the church.

Technology

The technology committee is our digital outreach to our members, local community and the world. Would you like to reach out to the world, learn about web sites and help make ours interesting, informative and fun to use? All you need is a computer or table with a little training and attention to detail, and you could be reaching out to the world to attract new members. Contact our church office if you would like to SERVE in this way.

  • Sponsoring youth programs through a charter organization with a Boy Scout troop and a Cub Scout pack.

We are also members of the National Organization of United Methodist Men.
